2575 Glass frog (Centrolenidae)
Lago Sandoval, Peru
Fotographer Marc Van Aerde
The name of the glass frog originates from the more or less transparent skin, especially on the belly, whereby the internal organs can be seen. The camouflage of these frogs is well developed, even the bones are green coloured. The glass frogs occur in Middle and South America.
