3006 Canyon de Alquezar, Sierra de Guara
Aragon, Spain
Fotographer Danny Cordy
The most extended protected natural area in Aragon is The Natural Park of Sierra y Cañones de Guara, which is enlarged by the arid plains between the Ebro valley and the Pyrenees. The Peak of Guara, with its 2.077 m. height, gives name to this natural space. The rivers in the Sierra de Guara, have modelled spectacular canyons, throats, ravines and cliffs. Thanks to these characteristics, Guara has become the paradise for the practice of canyoning.
It is worthwhile to get inside the valleys of Sierra de Guara to wander along its old paths and villages or to descend the canyons, passing inaccessible sites of wild natural beauty
